Jenny Mollen criticized for sharing photos of herself lying on top of her 12-year-old son in bed with the caption “Toxic boyfriend”

The photos, which she shared with her 12-year-old son, Sid, have sparked criticism.

Jenny Mollen, a 47-year-old author and actress, posted two images on Instagram on May 25th, showing her lying on top of her son Sid with her arms around his head. This has generated criticism for recent photos, as Mollen rested her head next to Sid’s on the sheets, both their faces covered, while she hugged her son.
Although the image is simply a mother hugging her 12-year-old son, anyone interpreting it as something else should be ashamed.

Commenters pointed out that Mollen’s original caption in the comments section was: “I said your oldest son would be the most toxic boyfriend you’ve ever had. I stand by that!”
Social media users also erupted in criticism of the star in the comments section; one person wrote, “This is creepy and totally inappropriate.” “This is very disturbing,” added another, while one said, “I hate all of this.” “That’s so scary,” wrote a fourth.
However, one social media user offered a positive perspective: “She’s not doing anything wrong. He’s her son. She’s his mother. We already know she’s very quirky and eccentric. I love her.”
Mollen previously wrote, “It’s like, because I’m separated, because I’m not protected by the institution of marriage, I suddenly become a different target in what I post. It’s absolutely unbelievable. A picture of me hugging my 12-year-old son is being ridiculed,” according to the magazine.
Mollen shares Sid and her 8-year-old son, Lazlo, with her ex, Jason Biggs. A representative for the couple confirmed on May 14 that they had separated after 18 years of marriage, insisting that they maintained an excellent relationship and were focused on co-parenting their two children; they had even celebrated Biggs’ 48th birthday together as a family on May 12.
