In Mississippi, on June 16, at a QuikTrip gas station, Tyler Brodsky, a father originally from Oklahoma, was accompanying his two young daughters to the women’s restroom because the men’s restroom was in poor condition. Reports indicate that the man saw the father entering the women’s restroom acting suspiciously and contacted the police.
While Brodsky was recording the video, another person can be seen and heard speaking loudly on the phone, saying, “There’s a man with his two young daughters in the restroom,” and “He’s washing his hands with his daughters right now.”
One of Brodsky’s daughters started crying and clung to her father while the other man continued yelling at them. Brodsky repeatedly told the little girls, “It’s okay, honey, it’s okay.” The man repeatedly claimed that his wife was trying to use the restroom with her mother, who, he said, was sick. Brodsky kept repeating that they were just washing their hands. At that moment, the manager of the establishment was at the door. She told the father, “I’m sorry, sir.” “It’s okay,” the father replied.

The police arrived, verified the situation, investigated, and determined that no violation had occurred. The father had implemented a safety protocol for his daughters, taking the necessary precautions since no one else was in the restroom.
After the story went viral online and sparked public outrage and criticism, the man who caused the problem lost his job in real estate.
The father concluded by saying, “We stopped at a QuikTrip during our road trip from Florida to Oklahoma so my daughters could use the restroom.”
