Former Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was fired by President Trump last month, will testify this morning before the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into her role in the release of files belonging to the late Jeffrey Epstein, convicted sex offender.

Republicans on the committee claimed to have scheduled Bondi’s deposition and accused Democrats of unnecessary misconduct and theatrics. Meanwhile, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee took credit for the Republican decision to publicly set a date for Bondi’s deposition after filing contempt charges against Pam Bondi for disobeying their subpoena to testify.
Oversight Committee Democrats argued that Bondi’s testimony remained vital, given that she had held a senior position in the department during the release of the Epstein files.
Former President Bill Clinton has denied any wrongdoing related to Jeffrey Epstein, and Hillary Clinton has stated that she never met the deceased financier and convicted sex offender.
If we could pressure Hillary Clinton, who has been out of office for 20 years, we can certainly get Pam Bondi to explain why she withheld documents and why she hasn’t been prosecuted, Khanna said.
