Peter Greene, the actor from “Pulp Fiction,” was found dead inside his apartment on the Lower East Side. His death was ruled accidental, caused by a gunshot wound to his left armpit that damaged the brachial artery, which supplies blood to the arm, according to reports from the New York City Medical Examiner.

Greene, 60, was born on May 10, 1959, in Montclair, New Jersey, and sadly died on December 12, 2025, in Manhattan, New York.
A neighbor found Greene in the actor’s apartment, located on the ground floor of Clinton St., near Stanton St., on December 12, after tenants reported hearing Christmas music coming from the apartment for several days.
Greene had a documented history of drug use, and in an interview with Premier magazine, he recounted his struggle with addiction in the 1990s.

Residents had heard loud Christmas music coming from the “The Mask” actor’s apartment since around 3 a.m. two days prior, before building management sent a locksmith to gain access to Greene’s apartment, a neighbor said.
“Peter was lying face down on the floor, with cuts on his face and blood everywhere…” the neighbor said.
On the door of Greene’s apartment was a handwritten note that read, “I’m still a Westie,” apparently a reference to an Irish-American gang or mafia group that operated in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, during the 1970s and 80s.
Speaking to the Daily News after Greene’s body was found, Gregg Edward, his longtime agent, said the “Usual Suspects” actor had been cast in “The Secret Life of Pets,” a Mickey Rourke film set to begin shooting next year, and was in the running for at least two other projects.
“He had a reputation for being difficult to work with… He was a perfectionist. He wanted everything to be right,” Edward said. “He also believed strongly in improvisation. Some people were okay with it, some people weren’t.”
Greene, who spoke with his agent just two days before he was found dead, was scheduled for surgery to remove a benign tumor near his lungs in the coming days, according to Edward. Otherwise, the actor was healthy and fit, according to his representative.
