WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump has selected Stephen Miller, one of his closest political advisers and a prominent figure in the MAGA movement, to become the new White House chief of staff, replacing Susie Wiles.
The announcement comes following the November 3 midterm elections, in which Republicans reportedly suffered significant losses, losing control of both chambers of Congress.

Trump announced the leadership change Friday afternoon through a post on Truth Social. Miller, who previously served as deputy chief of staff, is expected to assume the new responsibilities on Monday.
According to a White House official, Wiles submitted her resignation on Thursday night, bringing her tenure as Trump’s chief of staff to an end.
The appointment marks a significant change in the White House’s senior leadership as the administration faces a new political landscape following the midterm elections.
