DORAL, FLORIDA – Police and emergency responders were dispatched to Downtown Doral following an incident involving a black Maserati vehicle and two pedestrians reportedly crossing the street in a marked crosswalk on Main Street – NW 53th Street and Paseo Blvd at 2:30 pm. Thursday November 5, 2026.
According to eyewitness accounts, nearby business employees and residents heard a scream moments after the vehicle approached the pedestrians. Witnesses reported that a woman appeared to be struck or knocked down, while the man accompanying her reportedly threw himself toward the ground in an attempt to protect her from falling.
However, the driver’s account differed. Identifying himself as Jose, the approximately 68-year-old driver stated at the scene that he had applied the brakes and denied making contact with either pedestrian. He claimed that the pedestrians moved out of the vehicle’s way and that the woman subsequently fell to the ground.
GBC News was present at the scene and documented the unfolding situation. The driver remained at the location and, when asked to wait for authorities, reportedly responded, “I’m not moving.”
During the incident, GBC News also observed the woman attempting to stand. She appeared able to get up, although this observation alone does not establish whether she sustained an injury.
POLICE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Doral Police officers reportedly arrived within approximately three minutes, followed by the Doral Fire Department and an ambulance. The individuals involved received attention from emergency personnel.
According to the preliminary information available at the scene, the two pedestrians were reportedly involved in a vehicle-related incident, although no serious injuries were immediately apparent.

DORAL, FLORIDA – La policía y los servicios de emergencia acudieron al centro de Doral tras un incidente en el que un vehículo Maserati negro atropelló a dos peatones que cruzaban la calle por un paso de cebra señalizado en la intersección de Main Street (Calle 53 Noroeste) y Paseo Boulevard, a las 2:30 p.m. jueves 5 de Noviembre 2026.
Según testigos presenciales, empleados de negocios cercanos y residentes oyeron un grito momentos después de que el vehículo se acercara a los peatones. Los testigos informaron que una mujer pareció ser atropellada o derribada, mientras que el hombre que la acompañaba se lanzó al suelo para intentar protegerla.
