This video arrived at our newsroom on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, showcasing the excellent work of the Doral Police Department’s Aggressive Driving Unit, led by Chief Matthew Castillo.
We were informed that this aggressive and violent driver was speeding when the police officer, who was waiting on the sidewalk, raised his hand and signaled for him to stop.
The driver didn’t hesitate and fled. The officer immediately ran to his patrol car, speeding off with sirens blaring. Another police car joined the pursuit. Fortunately, they stopped him after about two blocks.
The footage shows the driver’s remorse for such a poor decision to drive recklessly.
Thank you to the Doral Police Department for such fantastic work, and remember, driving a vehicle is a privilege, not a right.
