| As someone who was born in Caracas and found a second home here in Doral, the events unfolding in Venezuela are deeply personal to me. |
| Like so many families in our community, I have loved ones, lifelong friends, and cherished memories tied to the country where I was born. Watching our fellow Venezuelans face difficult circumstances is heartbreaking, but it also reminds us of something that has always defined our community: when people are in need, Doral comes together. |
| Today, I am asking our community to do what it has always done best to lead with compassion, generosity, and service. |
| Working alongside the City of Doral and Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), we are helping coordinate humanitarian support efforts to ensure our community’s willingness to help is organized, responsible, and as effective as possible. |

| Como venezolano nacido en Caracas y como alguien que tuvo el privilegio de construir una nueva vida junto a mi familia en Doral, lo que hoy ocurre en Venezuela tiene un significado profundamente personal para mí. |
| Al igual que muchos de ustedes, tengo familiares, amigos y recuerdos que siguen unidos al país que me vio nacer. Ver el sufrimiento de tantos venezolanos nos llena de tristeza, pero también nos recuerda algo que siempre ha distinguido a nuestra comunidad: cuando alguien necesita ayuda, Doral responde. |
| Hoy les hago un llamado a actuar con el mismo espíritu de solidaridad, generosidad y servicio que siempre ha caracterizado a nuestra ciudad. |
